Here’s Dancewave’s Feature Teacher of the week: Madeline Irmen, fondly referred to as ‘Maddie’ by her students. Madeline started dancing at the age of 6 and since then, she has followed her passion for dance. She graduated from Ohio State University with a BFA in Dance and moved to New York where she has danced in projects with Erik Abbott-Main | Boy Friday, Dante Brown | Warehouse Dance, The Median Movement and Quentin Burley Dance Group. Madeline also works as a videographer and editor with her dance video production company, The Fleet.
At Dancewave, Madeline teaches Creative Ballet, Creative Movement, Creative Modern, Pre-Ballet and Creative Modern. Madeline’s favorite aspects of teaching at Dancewave are watching her amazing students use their creative problem solving skills to help their classmates, and enjoying the simple happiness of dancing together.
When she is not dancing, teaching dance, or filming dance, she can probably be found in the kitchen perfecting her chocolate chip cookie recipe.
And don’t forget to ‘Like’ & share this post if you have ever been her student 🙂
