Dancewave Company I performing Andrea Miller’s Wonderland at Dancewave Gala 2015 held on April 29, 2015 at Roulette, Brooklyn
We are thrilled to announce that Dancewave Company I has been invited by the Rockefeller Brothers Fund (RBF) to perform at the prestigious Pocantico Center in Westchester County. The talented company members will perform three works by renowned artists – Larry Keigwin, Andrea Miller and Kyle Abraham.
The Pocantico Center holds conferences and meetings on critical issues related to RBF’s mission. It serves as a community resource and gives public access to programs, lectures, and cultural events. The venue hosts artist residencies and provides performance space for artists selected by RBF grantees and New York City arts organizations. The center is managed by the Rockefeller Brothers Fund as part of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
Dancewave Company I performs at the Pocantico Center on Tuesday, August 4 at 6:30pm.
Dancewave is very honored to have received a Charles E. Culpeper Arts and Culture Grant from Rockefeller Brothers Fund this year. RBF approved a grant of $50,000 to Dancewave, as a contribution for our capacity-building initiative. The grant helps us create a five-year business plan based around our planned new location at 182 Fourth Avenue in Brooklyn and to create a marketing and outreach campaign to engage with our Brooklyn community.
Dancewave Company I performs on Tuesday, August 4th at 6:30pm. This will be the first time that a pre-professional company of young dancers performs at Pocantico.
